ROTATOR CUFF PATHOLOGY
They say grey hair means a rotator cuff tear. Unfortunately, a common cause of shoulder pain in middle-aged and elderly patients is a rotator cuff tear. Many patients do not recall a traumatic event. Often, these tears require repair. Dr Bond performs both arthroscopic and open rotator cuff repairs.

SHOULDER DISLOCATIONS
This injury is common in active patients. The younger and more active the patient, the greater the chance of redislocation.
For recurrent dislocations, a Bankart repair can be performed. For more active sportspeople, an Latarjet procedure is preferred. In this procedure, a bone block (coracoid) and a sling (attached biceps) are fixed to the anterior glenoid to block and prevent dislocations.
