KNEE REPLACEMENT
Knee arthritis is common. When the pain affects lifestyle and conservative treatments of anti-inflammatories, physiotherapy and steroid/ visco-supplements have failed – joint replacement is an option.
UNIKNEE
If only the medial compartment is involved, a Uniknee is an excellent option. The Uniknee preserves the cruciate ligaments and only replaces the pathological medial arthritic part of the knee. This knee gives better function and the patient often tell us that the knee has a “normal” feel.

TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT
Arthritis that is more widespread in the knee – involving medial, lateral and patellofemoral compartments, it is better to do a total knee replacement.
Dr Bond uses a robotic system. Pins are placed and computer mapping of the knee is performed. This guides the operative cuts so as to give a well aligned and soft tissue balanced knee.
