1WHAT DOES AN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON DO?
An orthopaedic surgeon treats all bone, joint and muscle pathology with specific emphasis on their surgical management.
2DO I NEED A REFERRAL TO SEE DR BOND?
Private patients do not need a referral but some medical aid plans require a referral from your GP for example:
- GEMS all plans
- Polmed all plans
- Keycare plans – Discovery & LA Health
- Bonitas all plans
- Medihelp Prime network & Necesse plans

4DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICAL AID AND WHAT IS YOUR BILLING POLICY?
We are "contracted in" to most medical aids. Therefore, we charge medical aid rates only. No co-payments apply.
With respect to your first consultation fee, we will try claim from your medical aid. Obviously if you are on a hospital plan or your funds are exhausted, you will need to pay for your consultation.
Post-operative follow-up care consultations is free for 6 weeks, only disposables will be charged.
